2023 Registrations now open!

NOTE: This page is for those registering to play with Capital Penguins.

If you just want to try Inline Hockey, click here.

All are welcome from the youngest players interested in a dynamic and fun team sport, to mature adults who are looking to try something new and stay fit.

Our club is both an incorporated society and a charitable organisation. Our focus is on engaging and encouraging our members to participate in inline hockey, teamwork, and the collegial spirit of the club. We provide team training and player development and facilitate team and individual participation in competition at a local, regional, national and international level.

Note that all memberships must be approved by the Club's Committee before they become active, and registering indicates acceptance of the Penguins Code of Conduct.

Club & IHNZ Registration

IHNZ is Inline Hockey NZ, the national body for Inline Hockey in New Zealand. Unless you are just training and not playing league games or entering other tournaments, all players complete registration with IHNZ and the club at the same time, through GameDay (below).

IHNZ FEES

Player - $50 per year

Official - $15 per year

Referee - $15 per year

The IHNZ fee is paid by credit/debit card during registration.

IHNZ registration is required for every player, referee, and official participating in:

  • IHNZ Kereru Conference League (ie the local league)

  • IHNZ Nationals club championships or the Junior Festival of Hockey

  • IHNZ Junior Inter-Conference championship

  • New Zealand representative teams & team trials

  • Any other IHNZ sanctioned events/tournaments

Club Dues

Junior Player - $80 per term

Senior Player - $120 per term

Non-Player - Free

The club annual dues are split into 4 quarterly payments, each invoiced directly by the club each term.

Club dues cover rink hire for your primary training session over the year, all games in the Kereru Conference League (ie the local league), access to club gear on an “as available” basis, and club-associated costs.

Optional tournaments are additional.

Like other sporting codes, we pay the same facility hire regardless of whether all players attend their training. When you join, you are committing to pay your dues in full, regardless of your attendance.

Note that all memberships must be approved by the Club's Committee before they become active, and registering indicates acceptance of the Penguins Code of Conduct.
